USNS CITY OF BISMARCK is the 9th SPEARHEAD - class Expeditionary Fast Transport. Originally named SACRIFICE, her name was subsequently changed to BISMARCK and finally to CITY OF BISMARCK, making her the first ship in the Navy named after the capital city of North Dakota.
