USS Beaufort (ATS 2)

USS BEAUFORT was the second EDENTON - class Rescue and Salvage Ship. Decommissioned on March 8, 1996, the BEAUFORT was sold to South Korea on August 29, 1996, and was subsequently stricken from the Navy list on December 12, 1996. In South Korea, the ship entered naval service as PYONG TAEK.
